As an Equipment Operator, you will primarily be responsible for operating equipment that handles soil fabrication and organics management. The Operator is responsible for mixing soil, loading trucks from the ramp, and managing stockpiles. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, bulldozers, rock trucks, and screeners based on qualifications. Mixing soil, loading trucks from ramp, managing stockpiles. Soil fabrication and organics management (biosolids, food waste, yard waste, compost). Perform daily routine maintenance on equipment Filling out waybills for customers. Inspect and verify product condition to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures. Provide internal and external customer service excellence. Work in adherence to all safe work practices and procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements. Provide feedback to the employer on working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the yard, shop, department, or work crew. Operate heavy equipment (loader, excavator, processing equipment, etc.) to mix biosolids, wood fibre and sand. Assist with road prep, sanding and watering to ensure the facility is accessible and maintained all year round. Communicate with drivers regarding unloading locations predetermined by supervisor/manager. Support inventory control (inbound/outbound/on ground) and accurately document load slips. Comply with all rules and regulations, protocols and established metrics. Follow all workplace safety policies, compliance regulations, and participate in identifying hazards Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. May be asked to travel to other facilities if necessary. Ability cross training on other functions at facility. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment. You Possess Minimum of 1 year (approximately 2,000 hours) of relevant experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., loader, dozer, screener, excavator, rock truck) Heavy Equipment Operator Certification Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation to and from assigned facility locations Experience performing routine equipment maintenance Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, cold, and wind Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs Sufficient hand‑eye coordination required for safe equipment operation Ability to work effectively as part of a team Experience working in an aggregate facility, soil blending, remediation environment, or with biosolids Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or experience related to equipment maintenance (e.g., mechanical, welding, or machining background) Experience using computerized systems or electronic equipment interfaces Embody Arrow's values: Safety, Integrity, Responsibility, Quality, Teamwork and Fun!
