About Us We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast. Job Summary Southern Industrial is looking for an Equipment Operator for a project in Oklahoma City, OK. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months. #SIC #LI On-Site #LI-VB1 Essential Duties & Responsibilities The primary function of this position is to independently run construction equipment on a project or maintenance site. Equipment can include, but is not limited to, skid steers, forklifts, manlifts, bull lifts, mini excavator, etc. Complete required JSA’s. Review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties. Ability to run and operate various construction equipment, not limited to, skid steers, forklifts, manlifts, bull lifts, mini excavators, etc. Perform all necessary safety checks on the equipment per procedures & policy. Perform inspections and preventative maintenance checks. Regular attendance is required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience operating construction equipment. Clean driving record. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Work Environment Conditions include working in office, with occasional entry into shop, busy traffic areas, and warehouses. Occasional exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property. Must be able to effectively use any required PPE equipment.
