JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and have experience in various driving environments. As an Equipment Operator/Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a truck driver or in similar roles such as delivery driver or shuttle driver.
• Familiarity with various types of vehicles including heavy haul trucks, tankers, and paratransit vehicles.
• Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Working in and around noise and dust.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
• Experience with route driving and understanding of logistics is preferred.

• Operate industrial and commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as necessary.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo transported.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to designated routes.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Assist with yard jockey duties as needed.
