What you will do Reporting to the Highway Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for: * safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a grader, tandem truck, truck with trailer equipped with air brakes and other heavy equipment; * involved in various highway maintenance and construction tasks; * performing normal maintenance and minor repairs on assigned equipment, preparing and maintaining work records on the operation of the assigned equipment; * ensure roads are safe for public use through plowing and placing sand and salt on roads. Work environment: * Office location: Tracadie and Pokemouche * Work holidays, weekends, shift and/or variable hours * May work in adverse road and weather conditions * We promote a scent-reduced environment. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Written and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.
