Description The Ohio Art Company — a world leader in the metal decorating industry and a proud Northwest Ohio manufacturer for over 115 years — is seeking skilled Equipment Operators to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major equipment relocation project. Candidates must be ready and able to travel to our New Jersey facility for hands-on training to learn the equipment before it is moved to Ohio. Travel may occur frequently (Monday–Thursday/Friday) for the first several months and then periodically through the end of 2026. Once trained, you’ll serve as a Train-the-Trainer, helping to onboard and mentor new team members on equipment operation. After the relocation is complete, selected candidates will transition to an Equipment Operator II role at our Bryan, OH facility. Key Responsibilities Set up machines by adjusting settings, loading materials, and ensuring all components are ready for operation. Operate machinery safely and efficiently following company procedures. Monitor machine performance to maintain accuracy and product quality. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Prepare and operate slitting machines, ensuring materials are cut precisely to specifications. Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards. Follow all company safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Provide hands-on training and mentorship to new operators. Requirements Qualifications 2–3 years of experience as a machine operator or similar manufacturing role. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience training or mentoring others is required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Willingness to travel frequently during the training phase. Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
