Description

Kleysen Group is looking for reliable, safety minded individual to join our Calgary Distribution Centre in a Full-Time Permanent Equipment Operator position. Our Calgary yard facility spans over 55 developed acres with rail services into our yard so that we can load and offload a variety of commodities including steel, construction materials, bulk and liquid products. The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of heavy equipment to perform tasks such as loading and unloading commodity, excavation, material handling, and earthmoving. The Shift: Monday – Friday Day Shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm The position: * Load and unload a variety of commodities on and off truck and/or rail. * Operate various equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts and loaders, along with performing other yard duties as required. * Conduct routine safety and maintenance checks on equipment before and after each use. * Training will be provided on other roles in the yard so that the Equipment Operator can assist where needed during their shift. ON-THE-JOB TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED. Ideally the successful candidate will have: * Previous Loader experience is an asset (1 year) * Safety-first approach * Must have reliable transportation to and from work (no public transportation available) * Good physical condition (able to lift 50lbs) * Strong work ethic and reliability to attend all shifts on time * Willingness to work overtime * As this is a safety-sensitive position, candidates will be required to comply with our Controlled Substances policy (pre-employment/post-incident drug test is required) Why choose Kleysen?
