In addition to grazing, we integrate mechanical mowing and re-vegetation efforts to ensure effective vegetation control and site maintenance, to allow for future livestock grazing. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Equipment Operator/Landscape Laborer to assist with vegetation management on solar sites throughout Alberta. The role involves operating mowing equipment in compliance with environmental and safety standards. Applicants must reside in Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Experience operating mowing equipment, or skid-steers with mower attachments.
  • Ability to work safely around solar infrastructure.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to safety and detail when operating equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license is a requirement.
  • Valid CPR/First Aid Certification is a requirement.
  • Valid Pesticide Applicator Certification and asset.
Responsibilities

LOCATION: ALBERTA, CANADA. PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS AN ON-THE-ROAD-JOB. YOU MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ACCOMMODATIONS; LOA PROVIDED.

Job Type: Seasonal, full-time. 10-12 hour shifts. 24 day rotation.
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience. Daily LOA and significant overtime pay.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate and maintain commercial mowing equipment.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections and perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in transporting equipment between project sites.
  • Monitor vegetation conditions and report any issues related to site safety or equipment performance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and site-specific regulations.
  • Shift work; remote locations throughout Alberta; must be willing to travel.
