Overview The Equipment Rental Specialist is responsible for delivering a fast, friendly, and reliable rental experience for customers while ensuring equipment is clean, functional, and ready to rent. This role combines customer service, equipment handling, and basic maintenance to keep daily operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Customer Experience Greet customers and help them select the right equipment for their job Explain safe and proper use of rental equipment in a simple, confident way Process rental check-outs and check-ins accurately Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and questions Resolve basic customer issues professionally and efficiently Equipment Check-Out / Check-In Prepare equipment for rental (clean, fueled, tested) Walk customers through operation and safety instructions Load equipment into customer vehicles safely Inspect returned equipment for damage, cleanliness, and fuel levels Document any damage or maintenance needs Do equipment pickup and deliveries in the area Basic Maintenance & Yard Operations Clean equipment (pressure washing, wiping down, etc.) Refuel and check fluids (gas, oil, etc.) Perform simple maintenance: Change air filters Replace spark plugs (as needed) Check tire pressure Stage equipment so it is organized and ready for the next rental Keep the yard, shop, and counter area clean and safe Team & Operational Support Work closely with the mechanic and manager on service needs Help prioritize equipment readiness during busy periods Requirements Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather Ability to lift 50+ lbs and move equipment Basic mechanical aptitude Reliable and punctual Valid driver’s license Able to get a Chauffeur's License Able to work 8am to noon on Saturday with a day off during the week (Tue - Thurs) Nice to Have Experience in equipment rental, construction, landscaping, or automotive Familiarity with small engines or tools Forklift or trailer experience Success in This Role Looks Like Customers leave confident in how to use the equipment Equipment is always clean, fueled, and ready Fast, accurate check-ins and check-outs Yard stays organized even during busy days Minimal equipment damage due to proper instruction No recruiters. Salary: 18 - 20 USD Per hour

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end rental process including customer check-ins, check-outs, and equipment demonstrations. Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and organization of the rental yard to ensure equipment readiness.
