Description
Description The Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various types of mobile rental/construction equipment and on-highway trucks. The ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems including the use of OEM software and other diagnostic tools is essential. Experience servicing and repairing on-highway trucks including diesel engines and brakes is a requirement. Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance on all RentalWorks and customer owned equipment Operate and test equipment during rental ready process Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of rental equipment Able to diagnose and repair equipment utilizing electronic diagnostic equipment Assist in rebuild and repair of major machine components Assist in identifying repairs covered by warranty Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner Produce timely and detailed service reports Uphold and practice high safety standards Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: Valid Driver’s license High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Clean driving record with no moving violations Must pass a background check and drug screening Physically and mentally fit Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time Basic rental equipment operation Able to operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc. Physical Requirements: The job requires the employee to climb, stand, and lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds. The Technician must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely. Sitting for an extended amount of time to perform key duties. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch. Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the shop and yard environment, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment. Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions. Capable of safely and productively operating a man-lift. Must be able to climb on and off mobile equipment safely.
