CERTIFICATION/SKILL REQUIREMENT:

  • Journeyman Ticket or Alberta Red Seal Ticket
  • Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract. (3-5 year)
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Keep things organized with accurate, detailed records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts usage.
  • Provide mentorship to apprentices and collaborate with team members.
  • Flexibility and reliability to excel in both field and shop settings, thriving in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AT AMECO

This position handles most aspects of servicing a variety of industrial construction equipment, including loading/unloading, diagnosing repair needs, ordering parts, and repairing equipment in the shop or on field calls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Must be able to diagnose construction and various equipment repair needs.
  • Be able to perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting
  • Performs preventative and service maintenance on trucks and equipment
  • Perform major (non-routine) service repairs to customer and company-owned equipment either in the Branch or field location.
  • Safely load and unload equipment for transporting.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including work orders, parts orders and billings, and warranty information.
  • Maintain an orderly work area.
  • Assist other technicians in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Adhere to and support AMECO’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
  • Performs physically demanding duties such as: heavy lifting, working underneath trucks, working in cramped or awkward positions, climbing on/off units & trailers, getting in/out of units, working long hours if required.
  • Communicate with customers concerning repair and service needs; this communication is frequent and critical.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
  • Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed.
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
