For over 30 years, Sentinel Offender Services has provided community-based, offender-funded monitoring services across North America. Working with law enforcement, community corrections agencies and the court system, we provide customized offender management solutions that help to reduce recidivism and improve reentry success. These solutions combine electronic monitoring technology, alcohol and substance abuse testing, and community-based offender management programs. Shift: Monday-Friday 8am to 1pm Pay: $17.00/hr Definition The equipment installer/ technician is an entry level position for an Electronic Monitoring, GPS, and Breath Alcohol Testing equipment installer. The installer is primarily responsible for performing equipment installations, removal, and troubleshooting of all equipment, along with daily client scheduling and inventory control. Job Expectations + Essential Functions · Install and remove various electronic monitoring equipment as requested using directed safety precautions. · Provide support for service and maintenance of equipment. · Keep accurate records of service calls · Inspect and maintain all monitoring and testing equipment, this includes cleaning equipment. · Process alarms as required during shifts if applicable to program requirements. · Assist with data entry of activity schedules as required. · Telephone calls to participants when needed for equipment or collection purposes. · Maintains calibration and repair records for all equipment serviced. · Shipping and receiving functions for equipment and supplies per established procedures. · Diagnosis and repair of EM equipment as outlined in company procedures. · Serve as a liaison between Sentinel and/or other contracted agencies, as needed based on duty shifts Requirements To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: · Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. · Customer Service - Manages difficult customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Meets commitments. · Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities. · Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions · Ethics - Keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values. · Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures and supports organization's goals and values. · Judgment - Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions. · Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments. · Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; · Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. · Dependability - Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments. · Innovation - Meets challenges with resourcefulness; Generates suggestions for improving work; Develops innovative approaches and ideas.
