DEPARTMENTAL INFORMATION This position assists with the maintenance and overall appearance of the Consolidated Rental Car (ConRac) facility of OKC Will Rogers International Airport. This position is responsible for routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, weed eating, planting flowers, trash pickup, and maintaining landscaped areas such as flower beds and planted areas, as well as assisting with irrigation system operations, monitoring, and minor repairs to ensure appropriate irrigation coverage. This position supports general upkeep of the facility grounds or maintenance staff as needed. JOB SUMMARY This position is located in the Maintenance Division of the Airports Department within the City of Oklahoma City. This position is primarily responsible for performing various facilities and grounds maintenance tasks utilizing vehicles, mowing equipment, and standard electrical and hand tools. The work ordinarily follows an established routine, which may include manual laboring duties in addition to equipment operation. Equipment operated may include: tractors with attachments, forklifts, front-end loaders, packers, pickups, flatbeds, dump trucks, lawn mowers and trimmers. Maintenance repair tasks are performed for basic upkeep of City grounds and facilities. The necessary skills, knowledge, and ability and/or licenses and certifications to perform departmental specific tasks must be acquired prior to assuming the duties of the position. Possession of a valid driver license (Operator) is required. OTHER DETAILS Pay Method: City employees are required to receive pay electronically, either via direct deposit or pay card.
