Job Overview The Equities & Derivatives Operations Officer will manage the end-to-end operational processes for equities, ETFs, and options across our trading platform. This role will work closely with the dealing desk and other internal teams to ensure accurate trade capture, settlement, corporate action processing, reconciliations, and smooth onboarding of new instruments. The officer will ensure operational efficiency, risk control, and compliance with internal policies and market standards. Main Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations for equities, ETFs, and derivatives (options), including trade capture, settlement, and reconciliation. Work closely with the dealing desk to ensure accurate order execution, trade allocation, and position management. Monitor real-time exposure and hedge positions efficiently across instruments and counterparties. Manage corporate actions (mandatory and voluntary) such as dividends, stock splits, rights issues, mergers, acquisitions, and lifecycle events. Ensure corporate action adjustments are applied correctly across physical equity holdings and CFD positions, including dividends and price adjustments. Coordinate with custodians, prime brokers, liquidity providers, and internal teams for timely implementation and validation of trades and corporate actions. Maintain margin and collateral requirements across venues to optimize capital usage and prevent liquidation events. Perform daily reconciliations across internal ledgers, trading platforms, custodians, and counterparties to validate positions, cash, and trade activity. Investigate, escalate, and resolve trade breaks, mismatches, settlement failures, and reconciliation exceptions within defined timelines. Support onboarding of new instruments to the trading platform, ensuring operational readiness and accurate configuration. Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. At least 4 years of experience in equities, derivatives, or multi-asset operations within FX, brokerage, or investment firms. Strong knowledge of corporate actions, trade settlement, margin management, and prime brokerage operations. Experience working with trading platforms and dealing teams. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and counterparties.
