As a Vice President, you’ll collaborate with global teams, manage risk, and deliver innovative solutions to institutional clients. As a Vice President in the Index Derivatives Trading team, you will work with us to cover institutional accounts and make markets in a range of index-linked products. You will manage risk, liquidity, and exposure, and support all aspects of the trading desk, including pre-trade analysis, research, trade processing, and strategy design. You will play a key role in evaluating market developments and providing clients with accurate product information. Job Responsibilities Price and manage index-linked products in collaboration with senior stakeholders Work closely with the global sales force to price existing and new index-linked products Manage risk from index flow products and achieve agreed revenue targets Drive business growth and expand the franchise in partnership with the global sales force Collaborate with IT, QA, and control functions to build sustainable pricing, risk, and control frameworks and tools Partner with infrastructure functions to ensure proper control, accounting, and clearing procedures Conduct pre-trade analysis and research on index constituent changes Support inbound and outbound trade processing and design optimal strategies for large trades Track supply and demand, evaluate market developments, and provide clients with accurate product information Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, firm-wide risk framework, and internal policies Work in a dynamic trading floor environment and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline Minimum 5 years of relevant experience trading Asian index products Strong programming skills (Python, C++, KDB) High degree of numeracy Strong awareness of market structure changes and regulatory impact Experience working collaboratively in highly productive teams Excellent communication skills, especially around complex concepts Thoughtful, logical, and motivated to learn Proactive and able to seek responsibility Able to work effectively under pressure; tenacious and self-motivated Due recognition will be given to professional qualifications attained from reputable training institutes or professional bodies in Hong Kong Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Experience with cross-border transactions and international markets Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus Familiarity with regulatory requirements for trading in APAC Demonstrated leadership in driving process improvements Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs Experience with infrastructure and control functions Proficiency in additional Asian languages is a plus J.P.
