Description

The role is diverse and involves advising on a wide range of transactional, regulatory and country coverage matters, including the following: Advising on core equity sales and trading matters, including agency and facilitation. Providing legal support for electronic trading, OTC derivatives, structured products and other structured transactions. Assessing and advising on regulatory requirements relating to existing/new/expanded markets and products. Responding to regulatory enquiries, market structure reform and policy work. Collaborating with country coverage lawyers, external counsel, and Compliance professionals across the APAC region. Providing legal advisory support for the Firm's Taiwan business. At least 9-10+ years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable international law firm or as in-house counsel at a leading financial institution, with legal qualification in a major financial center. Experience in advising on equity sales and trading matters. First-rate analytical skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently. Proactive, organized, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
