Job Description We’re recruiting for a ER Consultant, Strategy & Policy to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary. We’re looking for an ER Consultant to join our Strategy & Policy team, helping shape the policies and frameworks that support our people and culture. You’ll play a key role in developing clear, legally compliant, and inclusive HR policies while working closely with colleagues, legal partners, and employee representative groups. What you’ll be doing: Leading the design, drafting, and reviewing of global HR policies, ensuring compliance and alignment with business strategy Managing governance and consultation processes, including engagement with employee representative bodies Providing expert guidance to HR teams and policy owners on policy interpretation, legal requirements, and contract impacts Owning and maintaining UK employment contract and offer letter templates, keeping them accurate and up to date Supporting robust policy governance by maintaining audit trails, approval processes, and exemption records Building collaborative relationships with collective bodies such as Unite and MCF, and advising HR on engagement Working closely with ER and HR colleagues to ensure consistent policy implementation and communication Embedding fair customer outcomes and contributing to a culture that prioritises transparency, integrity, and good practice Qualifications Who we’re looking for: Strong understanding of UK employment law, HR policies, and consultation processes Experience drafting and reviewing HR policies, contracts, and employment documentation Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate governance requirements with confidence Experience working with legal teams and collective bodies on policy‑related matters Strong analytical and judgement skills, with a focus on accuracy and risk management Confident communicator able to adapt style for different audiences and build trusted relationships Collaborative approach, supporting knowledge sharing and open dialogue across teams A proactive mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority and drive policy improvements Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
