Job Description We’re looking for an ER Manager to join our HR team. If you’re an experienced HR Advisor or HR professional eager to step up, gain broader responsibility, and make a real impact, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you’ll support Operations Directors and their wider teams in all aspects of people management. You’ll work hands on with employee relations cases, performance management, long‑term sickness, safeguarding, and day to day HR guidance. You’ll also be involved in wider HR activity such as TUPE processes, restructures, absence management, recruitment for manager‑level roles, and championing training, apprenticeships, and continued development across your area. You’ll have the chance to build strong relationships, influence decision‑making and contribute towards the people management of our teams across the business. We work with our teams in the kitchens in primary and secondary schools and colleges and therefore our busy periods are in term time, which then gives us some time to catch our breath during the school holidays. Working as part of a team is essential and you will need to be a great communicator too and be able to organise your time and work on your own initiative where required. Most of all you should be a real people person who is happy to help support our managers and teams. If you have the drive and passion you will be a great success. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be obtained for this role. Qualifications HR experience is essential, preferably within the hospitality industry. CIPD qualification is desirable. Additional Information Salary - Competitive This is a hybrid working role of at least 3 days in the Reading office after the initial induction period. CIPD study support will be considered in the future if you wish to further your HR career.
