Job Title: ERP Finance Business Process Analyst (Contract)
Location: Remote (U.S.-based only)
Contract Duration: 90 days (with potential extension)
Reports To: ERP Project Manager
Compensation: $70–$80/hour (1099)
Project Overview
Our client is undertaking a multi-phase ERP implementation to modernize its Finance and HR operations. The Finance Process Analyst will be responsible for documenting current-state financial operations to support vendor evaluation and ERP readiness. This role is fully remote and will play a critical role in setting the foundation for a unified, cloud-based ERP platform that integrates financial management, procurement, payroll, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather information on existing financial workflows and systems
  • Document processes related to budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, procurement, payroll, and reporting
  • Identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Create clear and structured process maps and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with the ERP Project Manager on requirements gathering and vendor selection activitiesDeliver summary reports and feedback to internal leadership and project teams

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in financial systems, accounting operations, or ERP-related business analysis
  • Must have ERP Finance experience
  • Strong skills in workflow/process documentation and business requirements gathering
  • Familiarity with financial modules in systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, or Great Plains
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and remote collaboration skillsProficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace

  • Prior experience supporting ERP implementations in public sector or nonprofit environments
  • Understanding of finance-related compliance and reporting needs
  • Experience contributing to vendor selection or RFP development
