Description

About this job

Full-time m/f/d

IT-Consultant

You will advise medium-sized businesses on ERP implementations and migrations, design customized solutions, and implement EDI projects using our i-effect® software. Depending on the project type, this will take between 3 and 24 months. You will support your clients in the medium and long term, from the discovery phase to the hypercare phase after go-live.

  • Hybrid · up to 2 days of home office
  • Starts immediately
  • 30 vacation days
  • €36,000 – €56,000 gross per year

Your salary grade depends on your professional experience and knowledge.

Your tasks

  • On-site requirements workshops: Reviewing business processes, clearly defining requirements
  • Implement customization and configuration in ERP modules
  • Designing customized solutions where the standard is insufficient, and accompanying the implementation until go-live.
  • Setting up EDI projects with i-effect®: Partner integration, mapping coordination, test transfer
  • Application training on-site or remote
  • Hypercare after go-live: first tickets, minor corrections, stabilization
  • Supporting existing customers beyond the go-live: expansions, adjustments, new requirements from the specialist department
  • Documentation and clean handover to the customer's IT department

A typical week in a project mix: two days customizing an ongoing project, one day of on-site workshop or training in Cologne or the Rhineland, one day of hypercare for a newly launched project, and one day of documentation or handover. Up to two of these days are spent working from home, depending on the project phase. The rest of the time is spent on-site at the project or in the office in Bergisch Gladbach.

This is what you bring with you

  • IT training, studies (business informatics, business administration or computer science) or comparable qualification
  • 1+ years of experience in IT consulting, ERP implementation, or a comparable field. Career changers with process experience are welcome.
  • Solid German and English. Customizing documentation is often in English.
  • Quickly familiarize yourself with new customer setups: new industry, new processes, new module
  • Structured project approach: Discovery, Build, Test, Go-Live, Hypercare. You manage your own topics cleanly through the phases.
  • Consulting mindset: Workshops, training sessions, and direct customer contact are part of the daily routine.
  • Translation between business and tech: Business requirements become ERP customization

Your skillset

Must-have:

  • Experience with ERP systems (manufacturer doesn't matter, the main thing is understanding of sub-areas such as warehousing, purchasing, sales, accounting)
  • Workshop moderation: confidently working with specialist departments, clearly defining requirements
  • SQL and database fundamentals
  • Interface concepts: IDoc, REST, EDI
  • Claude (or comparable AI tools): standard in our daily routine for documentation, customization research, and workshop preparation.

Nice-to-have:

  • In-depth knowledge of ERP modules (Finance, Controlling, Materials Management, Sales, HR)
  • ERP-specific programming languages (e.g. ABAP)
  • ERP certifications or migration experience
  • Project management methodology (traditional or agile)
