JOB SUMMARY:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for complex IT and business process transition projects, covering production tooling, manufacturing execution, operations, finance, logistics, aftermarket, procurement, and quality. Serve as the primary senior point of contact for this critical programme, bridging technical teams and senior local business stakeholders to achieve strategic alignment and programme success, including the effective management of a programme.

Estimated Allocation of Work:

  • Project/Programme Management (50%)

This includes planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling the various work packages; managing timelines, resources, and budget; risk and issue management; governance and reporting; and ensuring overall programme delivery. To deliver that, you will also ensure a transparent and regular reporting and alerting of your program health and risks to the local PMI leader and to the ERP CoE global organization.

  • Stakeholder Management (30%)

This involves building and maintaining strong relationships with senior business stakeholders on site, transnational implementation teams, and internal Airbus leadership. It includes communication, alignment, expectation management, and facilitating decision-making.

  • Supplier Management & Negotiation (20%)

This encompasses managing relationships with both internal and external suppliers, including defining requirements, overseeing delivery, ensuring quality, managing contracts, securing alignments and interdependancies and negotiating terms as needed to achieve programme objectives within budget.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 10+ years experience in Computer science
  • 5 years experience in project / program leadership in multicultural environment
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) leading complex, large-scale IT programmes with significant business transformation in a global environment, including managing substantial budgets and supplier relationships.
    Travel Required: 15% Domestic and International travels

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, DEMONSTRATED CAPABILITIES:

Required:

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing significant programme budgets (e.g., up to €20 million) and resources effectively, with a focus on financial control and value for money and strong supplier management experience.
  • Significant experience with SAP ERP products and their implementation in complex environments, with a strong understanding of SAP financials and procurement processes.
  • Proven experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies in complex programme delivery, with a strong awareness of budgetary and contractual constraints. Proven ability to think strategically, translate business strategy into actionable plans, and influence senior leadership with a strong understanding of financial and contractual implications.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a strong track record of building and motivating high-performing transnational teams while managing significant financial resources and external partners.
  • Expertise in establishing and maintaining effective programme governance and reporting frameworks for senior management, including detailed financial and supplier performance reporting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels, including financial and contractual discussions with suppliers.
  • Strong results-orientation with a demonstrated ability to deliver critical programmes under tight deadlines and within budget, effectively managing supplier performance.

Preferred:

  • Proven experience working within the Aviation industry, including financial and supply chain considerations specific to the sector.

  • Take full ownership and accountability for the management of the programme budget, up to €20 million, ensuring optimal resource allocation, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate strategic, operational, and financial programme risks and issues.
  • Establish and maintain robust programme governance and reporting structures to ensure transparency and accountability, including financial performance against budget.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external suppliers, ensuring deliverables meet requirements, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers as required to secure favorable terms and ensure value for money.
