Social Worker (Grade 2) Ravenhall Correctional Centre | Melbourne West Social Worker Grade 2 (SW2) Pay Range - $88030 - $101,202 Plus Super and Benefits This will be aligned to the new 2024-2028 under implementation. As a Social Worker within our prison services program at Ravenhall Correctional Centre, you'll work in a unique and highly rewarding environment where your expertise can make a genuine difference to consumers, their families and carers. About the role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker to provide specialist forensic mental health services within the Erskine Forensic Mental Health Service at Ravenhall Correctional Centre. In this role, you will: Deliver high-quality social work assessments, interventions and care planning. Complete comprehensive psychosocial, family, risk and needs assessments. Advocate for consumers' rights, entitlements and recovery goals. Provide specialist advice and consultation to multidisciplinary team members. Support family-inclusive and recovery-oriented practice. Contribute to service improvement, quality initiatives and research activities. Assist with the supervision and support of students and early-career social workers where appropriate. Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support positive consumer outcomes. What you'll bring To be successful, you will have: A degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Demonstrated commitment to mental health recovery principles. Substantial post-qualification social work experience. Experience delivering ethical and effective social work services within complex or statutory environments. Strong psychosocial assessment and complex case planning skills. Understanding of risk, recovery and trauma-informed practice. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
