MANAGER, DIGITAL WORKPLACE AND DATA SERVICES

Sitting within the Technology and Strategy Division, the Technology, Data and Digital Enablement Branch is a critical enabling service that includes the following functions:

The Digital Workplace and Data Services team works to support the effective functioning of the eSafety business and the work of the Technology, Data and Digital Enablement Branch by supporting the growth of digital workspaces through use of technology and productivity tools (such as Microsoft Office 365, data and AI tools); strengthening the ability of eSafety to use data to inform effective decision making, adding rigour to information management practices and enhancing governance practices and processes in areas such as project management, risk, privacy and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

As Manager, Digital Workplace and Data Services you will be responsible for overseeing critical enabling capabilities within eSafety that support the organisation as a data-driven, digital first business. The role will oversee the following activities:

Data and Information Services consisting of:

  • Managing delivery of eSafety’s digital analytics, BI and reporting functions.
  • Managing information and records management and data governance capabilities, overseeing relevant specialist staff, establishing policies and procedures and embedding them effectively across all business units through training and end user engagement.
  • Developing routine business insights reports for key organisational metrics and initiatives.
  • Chairing relevant data governance committees and championing use of data and data tools throughout the organisation.
  • Playing a leading role in eSafety’s AI Working Groups and roadmap development, representing data and information management requirements and end user requirements.
  • Updating and implementing the organisation’s Data & Information Management roadmap.
  • Managing SharePoint Online including a fit for purpose information architecture, policies and user access.
  • Supporting data privacy compliance and related processes (e.g. privacy impact assessments, notifiable data breach and incident management processes).
  • Acting as Product Manager for any data analytics, information and records management tools in use by eSafety.

Digital Workplace Services (DWS) consisting of:

  • Establishing and implementing a fit for purpose digital workplace strategy.
  • Acting as the Product Manager for productivity tools within the Office 365 suite, including overseeing staff to provide support, manage the rollout and uptake of tools, assisting in the consideration of new products and staying across new innovations in digital workplace management.
  • Overseeing staff training and development including managing a Training Hub and ensuring all available training documents, resources, and workshops are made available and embedded to support business areas use of technology. This includes supporting other technology teams in the roll-out of their products, supplying policies and procedures to ensure use of all products and services is compliant with relevant policy obligations.
  • Supporting opportunities for process re-engineering and digital workflow mapping, managing digital business requirements including overseeing relevant staff to provide business-analysis-as-a-service, and project coordination where required.
  • Representing DWS during project initiation and design processes to convey end user training requirements and where requirements could be fulfilled through using code-free technologies and leveraging use of current systems such as 0365 and Power Apps.

Governance oversight including:

  • Representing Digital Workplace and Data Services in relevant governance committees.
  • Ensuring all compliance policies and procedures are in place.
  • Representing regulatory requirements across DWDS and in the development of new digital systems.
  • Ongoing reporting and evaluation of initiatives.
  • Risk management across the DWDS domain.
