Your mission Position, Location, Department Full-time | Munich, Madrid | ESG & Public Affairs Position Summary The ESG Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation of ESG initiatives across JA Europe's PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) businesses. The role works across commercial, regulatory, product sustainability, supply chain, and customer-related ESG topics to support business growth and ensure compliance with evolving ESG requirements. The position contributes to the delivery of ESG projects, supports customer and sales activities, coordinates cross-functional stakeholders, and helps implement regional ESG initiatives in alignment with the strategy defined by the Head of ESG & Public Affairs. Major Responsibilities ESG Business Support Support ESG activities across the company's PV module and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) businesses, including customer, product sustainability, supply chain, and regulatory topics. Support customer ESG requests, due diligence processes, certifications, sustainability documentation, and evidence packages. Contribute to the implementation of ESG requirements related to batteries, energy storage systems, and evolving European regulations. Commercial & Customer Support Provide ESG support to regional Sales teams throughout customer engagements, tenders, due diligence processes, contract negotiations, and project implementation. Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to address ESG-related technical and commercial requirements. ESG Project Delivery Manage assigned ESG projects and workstreams from planning through implementation and completion. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensuretimelydelivery of assigned initiatives. Monitor project progress and communicate updates to management. Market & Regulatory Monitoring Monitor ESG legislation, sustainability trends, and customer requirements relevant to the European renewable energy market. Provide structured market insights and recommendations to support continuous improvement of ESG practices. Performance Indicators Timely delivery of assigned ESG projects and workstreams Quality and responsiveness of ESG support to internal stakeholders Customer support effectiveness for ESG-related requests Cross-functional collaboration and project execution Accuracy and timeliness of ESG documentation and reporting Your profile Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Public Policy, Engineering, or a related field;Master'sdegree is an advantage 3–5 years of relevant experiencein ESG, sustainability, public affairs, regulatory affairs, or a related field Experience in renewable energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), photovoltaics, electronics manufacturing, or related industries is preferred Good understanding of ESG regulations, sustainability frameworks, and customer due diligence requirements Fluency in English (C1); other European languages are an advantage (German, French, Spanish) Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of ESG principles and sustainability requirements Structured and solution-oriented working style with strong project ownership Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills Commercial awareness and ability to support customer-facing activities Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment Travel Requirement Regular travel within Europe asrequired (approximately 20%) Occasional travel to Headquarters and other international locations Why us?
