Based in Geneva, as part of a global team, your role as ESG Reporting Manager will include the following main duties: Reporting governance (70%) Take a key role in a three-person team, working closely with the ESG Project Manager and ESG Financial Reporting Manager: you will pull together our reporting strategy and drive implementation across 10+ global regulations, e.g. EU CSRD and other laws on climate, human rights and environmental due diligence reporting Shape our annual double materiality assessment and support EU taxonomy alignment Streamline processes for efficiency gains, and prepare key documents, e.g. ESG reports, external sustainability statements Engage directly with our external auditors, and strengthen audit readiness by further documenting processes and procedures for non-financial audits Relationship building, data collection and analysis (30%) Support Vitol departments in optimising ESG data collection processes Liaise with our portfolio companies to ensure a fit-for-purpose approach Ensure data submitted to Vitol KPI reporting platform by investment companies is accurate and up to date Conduct analysis of ESG and GHG data: benchmarking, interpreting results, executive reporting Qualifications University degree in relevant subject, e.g., Sustainability, Finance, Economics, Accounting 8+ years’ experience in a similar role, of which 5 years must be in industry Analytical mindset, quantitative, excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, with superb attention to detail Entrepreneurial drive, ability to work independently as well as in a team Excellent problem-solving skills, able to find pragmatic solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to convey complex concepts in simple terms Full proficiency communicating in English in a business context (verbally and in writing) Deep interest in ESG and regulatory reporting Additional Information Previous experience in commodities, trading and/or energy industries Accounting qualifications Experience as both a consultant and in-house Having undertaken double materiality assessments and led ESG reporting projects in complex environments
