Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to non-native speakers
- Provide instruction in literacy education, including reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Conduct individual and group tutoring sessions to support students’ language development
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students
- Utilize technology and learning management systems (LMS) to enhance instruction
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate curriculum and instructional strategies
- Provide ongoing feedback and assessment of student progress
- Offer teacher coaching and support to colleagues as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field
- Experience working with students, particularly in an ESL or adult language education setting
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is preferred
- Knowledge of effective teaching strategies for diverse learners, including those with visual impairments
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and educational technology tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
