ABOUT US:

Lorvale Learning Centre is a private education center based in Toronto, offering enrichment programs to students aged 6–18. We are currently looking for passionate and dynamic ESL Teachers to join our growing team and help students strengthen their English language skills in an engaging and supportive learning environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Reliable, well-organized, punctual, and patient, with a strong commitment to helping students succeed.
• Proven experience delivering ESL lessons through engaging, student-focused instructional methods.
• Skilled at adapting lesson plans to accommodate a variety of learning needs and language proficiency levels.
• TESL/TEFL/TESOL certification required; a degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related discipline is an advantage.
• Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification considered an asset.
• Minimum of three years’ teaching or tutoring experience required.
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin is considered a strong asset

• Create and deliver age/level-appropriate ESL lesson plans
• Support students in improving their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
• Incorporate activities and tools that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding
• Regularly assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed
• Provide feedback to students and communicate progress with center officers and parents
• Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions
• Support special events and promotional activities as required
• Willingness to substitute for other teachers if needed
