Description The ESL Teacher/Sub Teacher will plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for ESL students in an alternate educational setting. The certified substitute in this position is responsible for helping to create a learning environment that provides specialized instruction for a small group student who may need: 1:1 and/or small group instruction, lessons & activities for a variety of learning styles, and someone who is patient and flexible. Hours: M-F, 8:15-2:30, 1/2 lunch, hourly rates from $40-$44 depending on experience Job Type: Part time/temporary but could lead to full time! Responsibilities include: Help to develop lesson plans, assignments and activities that reflect individual needs, goals, and objectives. Establish and follow routine and schedule to provide maximum learning time. Establish and maintain an environment conducive to learning. Utilize appropriate curricula, materials, and behavioral techniques. Complete all required paperwork in a professional and timely manner. Always supervise students in the classroom.
