Description SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The ESP Reliability and Testing is responsible for monitoring, surveillance, diagnostic and optimization of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs) to improve their performance and extend their life span. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Create Value by utilizing ESP Surveillance processes, tools and best practices and assisting business units in their operation. Working knowledge of ESP operating parameters, and ability to recommend changes to operating window to ensure ESP is operating optimally and within limits. Become part of the team and understand ongoing operations to enable optimal support Identify, diagnose and communicate optimization opportunities both internally and externally on a daily basis. Conduct client optimization meetings on a periodic basis Develop recommendations to improve ESP run life and assist asset teams in implementation. Engauge in continuous improvement initiatives to further streamline optimization activities, improving the customer experience and enhancing the value proposition to customers. Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Experience optimizing and troubleshooting ESP systems required. Experience in shale oil operations preferred but not required. Ability to work shift work, 7 days on 7 days off, with hitches rotating between days and nights. Must have a clear understanding of the production challenges facing the shale oil industry at present Requires a knowledge of the shale oil industry in terms of the customers operating environment and unique requirements Self-motivated to achieve results with minimal direct supervision Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite and the ability to learn how to operate monitoring software platforms Travel Requirements: Up to 10% PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, including sitting in a vehicle; a minimum of 2 hours and often up to 4 hours. Must be able to maneuver to all areas of a pump shop or warehouse, and to all allowable areas of a well site or other job sites. Must be able to work at a fast pace. Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to drive a one-ton pick-up truck. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment is typically considered in an office environment located on-site, within a ELS location during normal or extended business hours. Work environment may also include employee’s residence, customer site & meeting venues, extensive time off site while traveling or to other location as required.
