JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be required to perform Logistics tasks and activities of moderate complexity in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods. This role will report to the project Logistics Supervisor as well as functional reporting to Bechtel Global Logistics (BGL).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) related to the position and at least 6 years of relevant experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• OTM system.
• Industry packing, marking, and shipping requirements.
• Importing and exporting formalities and processes.
• Domestic and international trade and delivery terms, Incoterms®.
• Bechtel procedures and instructions for compliance with governmental regulations affecting the movement of goods and technology.
• Bechtel standard issue office technology software (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) and Internet/Intranet navigation.
• Bechtel cargo insurance requirements.
• Bechtel Logistics procedures (Supply Chain College).
• BGL corporate agreements.

• Coordinating shipments with requisite internal and external entities to ensure the safe and timely delivery of materials and equipment from supplier’s delivery point to jobsite.
• Ensuring timely entry of shipment milestone data into Bechtel Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) and Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system to provide visibility of line item shipment status.
• Assisting the project Logistics Supervisor as requested.
• Assisting with filing and resolution of Logistics Service Provider claims.
• Assisting with preparation of logistics studies including vendor facility visits.
• Integrating safety requirements and measures in all Logistics activities.
• Planning, developing, coordinating and reviewing Procurement work within a discipline on projects.
• Coordinating and interfacing with the day-to-day work of project team members and discipline groups.
• Accumulating and maintaining data for reporting of group metrics.
• Performing due diligence surveys as requested.
• Providing on-the-job training to Procurement specialists as required.
