Description Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Espresso and Coffee Equipment Service Technician with direct, professional experience servicing commercial coffee equipment to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair espresso machines, brewers, grinders, and related café equipment. This technician will play a critical role in supporting new café accounts and wholesale partners, ensuring a seamless, high-performance start to every equipment installation and service call. The ideal candidate brings proven, real-world experience working on specialty coffee equipment—either in a field service technician role or through advanced, technical café operations—and is comfortable diagnosing and repairing commercial machines independently. A strong mechanical aptitude, customer-first mindset, and deep familiarity with espresso and brewing systems are essential. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and calibrate commercial espresso machines, brewers, grinders, and water filtration systems at new wholesale and internal café locations. Diagnose and repair espresso and brewing equipment in the field and at the company’s workshop, with minimal supervision. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and internal service standards. Support new account onboarding by ensuring all technical aspects of setup (electrical, plumbing, water quality, and equipment layout) are completed and fully operational prior to opening. Provide hands-on training to café staff on proper machine operation, cleaning procedures, and daily maintenance best practices. Accurately document service calls, repairs, and parts usage in the company CRM or work order system. Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors for parts sourcing, technical support, and warranty claims. Ensure all installations and repairs comply with safety protocols, electrical codes, and local water regulations. Requirements Qualifications Demonstrated experience servicing commercial coffee equipment is required (field service technician, equipment specialist, or advanced technical café role). Strong working knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and water filtration systems in a professional environment. Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; basic plumbing experience strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with a range of specialty coffee equipment brands such as La Marzocco, Mahlkönig, Mazzer, Curtis, or similar commercial manufacturers. Ability to confidently diagnose issues, perform repairs, and make informed technical decisions in the field. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to represent the brand professionally on-site. Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently across multiple locations. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined or awkward spaces as needed.
