Esri GIS Solution Engineer Internship Join Esri Summer Internship Program Help customers solve complex technical challenges by showcasing the value of GIS and Esri technology. Build a strong professional network while working alongside experienced Solution Engineers and sales professionals. What You'll Do Join one of our Solution Engineering teams, where projects may vary based on team. Past intern projects have included: Performing innovative analysis like GeoAI to detect natural disaster impacts, developing urban areas, and shifts in natural and agricultural habitats. Creating external communications such as blogs, GIS tutorials, and social media posts inspiring customers to embrace new technology trends and adopt new use-cases. Designing workflows, maps, and applications supporting customers such as NASA, NOAA, USDA, FEMA, FBI, various nonprofits, and Defense and Intelligence customers. Requirements We seek students who are majoring in GIS, geography, data science, GEOINT, or similar geospatial programs and are currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program at a university in the United States; undergrads must be in junior or senior standing Visa sponsorship is not available for this posting. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Able to complete a 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2026 Knowledge of Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise), GIS application creation and development, GIS databases, spatial analysis, and/or cartography Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically presentation skills Some internships also require an interest in a particular domain (for example, natural resources, government, health, or utilities) Desirable students that will be graduating with a graduate or undergrad level degree by 2026. Program Timeline Applications Accepted: September 2–December 31, 2025 at 5:00 pm PST Interviews: Students selected for phone interviews will be notified by email on a rolling basis October 2025–January 31, 2026 Internship: 12 weeks beginning in late May or June 2026 Compensation Statement: “The Company” Section: The pay range for this internship takes into account education level and previous relevant work experience to include specialized skill sets. Interns who meet minimum qualifications during their internship may also qualify for 401(k) and profit share. A reasonable estimate of the base pay range is $33.00 – $37.00.
