REPORTS TO/TERM: Principal and Administrative Team This is a 10-month position Essential Key Functions: An Exceptional Student Services classroom assistant will perform the following duties: Maintain student service logs Provide service to students Assemble small groups Work individually with students Collaborate with general education teachers Attend all required staff meetings Work as a team member Attend all professional development opportunities Work under the direction of the Resource Teacher Other functions assigned by supervisor Follow all school policies Requirements Required Qualifications: Associate or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.0 Desire to grow professionally Commitment to the mission and organizational goals of GEO Academies
Responsibilities
The ESS Classroom Assistant provides direct instructional support to students individually and in small groups. They are responsible for maintaining service logs and collaborating with general education teachers under the direction of the Resource Teacher.
