We have a great opportunity available to join Novus Cambria, our prison education provider at HMP Berwyn, working as an Essential Skills Tutor. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • A degree or equivalent subject specialist qualification
  • Teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent
  • Hold QTS / QTLS
  • Minimum level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Able to fulfil delivery targets and plans
  • Achievement of quality targets, including those related to learner achievement, inclusion, progression and destination
  • Produce accurate and timely reports
  • Positive contribution to establishment planning & development processes
  • Positive team working
  • Achieve ‘Good’ or above in Teaching Observations
