OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Estate Litigator to join our growing litigation team in Surrey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate, trust, and capacity-related disputes and be comfortable managing files independently while working collaboratively in a supportive team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Member in good standing with the Law Society of BC.
• 3–5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on estate or civil litigation.
• Proven ability to manage files independently from start to finish.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Handle a range of estate and trust litigation matters, including wills variation claims, undue influence, breach of fiduciary duty, and contested estate administration.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and appear before the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
• Provide strategic advice to clients, including executors, beneficiaries, and other interested parties.
• Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
• Support junior lawyers and collaborate with colleagues in other practice areas when necessary.
