This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.
This is a Temporary Post for 12 months.
To provide efficient, effective and responsive tenancy and estate management services on all housing management issues within a designated work area, in line with agreed policies and priorities of the Council.
You will ensure that tenants keep to their Tenancy Agreements and that our Flats and Housing Estates are maintained to a satisfactory condition therefore excellent communication and customer care skills are required.
To undertake both proactive and reactive work to ensure estate areas (including internal common areas to blocks of flats) are maintained.
This includes functions such as:
- - Fire safety checks
- - Ensuring the security of common areas
- - Minor routine maintenance
- - Removing rubbish
- - Removing and cleaning up in appropriate or dangerous items
- - Substances or Graffiti from communal or open space areas such as: drugs related equipment, human bodily fluids/waste (in line with safe systems of work), asbestos, etc.,
- - Notifying relevant services regarding faults or maintenance issues (for example, lifts).
To undertake general grounds maintenance and minor repair work in a designated area using a range of vehicles, power hand tools, light plant, mowing machinery and hand tools in line with City Council Health and Safety Policies.
