Are you a motivated leader with a passion for delivering high-quality services in your community? Sheffield City Council is looking to recruit an Estate Team Leader who will play a pivotal role in shaping the environment and wellbeing of our neighbourhoods.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Estate Team Leader, you will be at the heart of our Housing and Neighbourhoods Service and based in our Estates and Environmental Services Team. You will be responsible for the effective supervision and coordination of our Policy and Monitoring Officers and our Community Development Officer. You will be a key figure in partnership working, both internally and with a range of external stakeholders, ensuring that our estates are well-maintained, safe, and vibrant places to live.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
  • Lead on partnership working with colleagues across the Council, external agencies, and community organisations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage the Grounds Maintenance Service Level Agreement, ensuring standards are met and services delivered effectively.
  • Oversee the cleared sites contract, ensuring areas are managed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Council requirements.
  • Collaborate with Parks to maintain and improve safe, accessible, and welcoming Housing playgrounds.
  • Liaise with, support, and coordinate Tenant Inspectors, encouraging active resident involvement and acting on their feedback to improve services.
  • Monitor performance, conduct site visits, track compliance, and report on progress, ensuring all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld.
