Description

The Estates Maintenance Assistant will be capable of undertaking maintenance, improvement, and minor capital works on all facilities across the Trust on a range of estate buildings and fabric whilst ensuring that they are always compliant with all Trust and Statutory standards and procedures.
The person appointed will be a suitably qualified Building General Handyman with relevant practical experience or equivalent and will be expected to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The Estates Maintenance Assistant will carry out their duties across the MSE sites and should therefore be able to travel under their own ability to all premises owned or run by the Trust.
To undertake general housekeeping duties to ensure an acceptable level of workshop and plant room cleanliness.
To carry out the flushing of little used water outlets and replace shower hoses and heads as instructed producing and maintaining the necessary written records identifying checks carried out.

To plan own work schedule and undertake minor repairs and maintenance, unsupervised across the site, which typically may include, but not be limited to:

  • Legionella Outlet Flushing
  • Tap Repairs
  • Overflow repair
  • Ductwork and Grille cleaning
  • Vent Cleaning
  • Filter changing
  • Lamp changing
  • Lamp cleaning
  • Battery condition checking
  • Fire alarm tests
  • Meter reading
  • Clean & repair desk fans
  • Emergency lighting testing
  • Workshop and plant room cleanliness duties
  • Minor fabrication works
  • General Handyman duties
