Description

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Professional Accreditation: You are MRICS, MCIOB, or have proven ability and experience in building surveying.
  • JCT Contract Expertise: You bring strong experience in JCT contract documentation and administration.
  • Risk Management: You possess a solid understanding of fire, legionella, and asbestos risk management.
  • M&E System Familiarity: You are familiar with commercial Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) system installations.
  • Care Home Experience: You have experience working within the care home environment, understanding its unique demands.

What You’ll Be Doing: (Reporting to the Group Estates Manager)

  • Estate Management: You’ll be home-based but responsible for managing the company’s estate across the group, with overnight stays as needed.
  • Project Management: Lead refurbishment projects valued up to £2M, handling everything from specifications and employer’s requirements to consultant appointments, contract administration, valuations, and payments.
  • Surveying Duties: Conduct pre-acquisition and dilapidation surveys, ensuring our estates meet high standards.
  • Condition Surveys: Perform annual condition surveys across our existing estate, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Respond to major building defects, managing reactive maintenance and property-related health and safety issues.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Prepare and manage five-year planned preventative maintenance budgets for high-value assets, ensuring long-term sustainability.
  • Contract Management: Tender, instruct, and oversee service contracts across the estate, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Review and monitor all home compliance certifications, ensuring our facilities meet regulatory standards.
