OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Estates Manager with knowledge of fabric building and drainage to oversee the day-to-day management of maintenance services, including new works, minor capital projects, and system upgrades across the Trust. You will lead on compliance, safety, and operational improvements while managing contractors and in-house teams to deliver an outstanding service.
Temporary placement up to 6 months

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant estate discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the service industry, including reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Previous NHS experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong fabric building and drainage experience is essential for effective problem-solving.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee building fabric, drainage, site environment, and routine inspections.
  • Manage fire safety, infection prevention remedial works, window inspections, asbestos management, and minor works.
  • Lead and develop the site maintenance and carpentry teams.
  • Ensure statutory compliance, health & safety, and risk management.
  • Play a key role in budget control, planning, and forecasting.
  • Act as an Authorised or Responsible Person (AP/RP) for key estate services.
  • Participate in the Estate Manager On-call Rota.
