Responsibilities

LOOKING FOR A ROLE WHERE EVERY DAY MAKES A DIFFERENCE?

Take the lead in managing a diverse property portfolio across your region, delivering projects from routine repairs to large scale works. You’ll provide expert technical advice, carry out surveying duties and lead a small estates and mobile maintenance team.
This is a field-based role with plenty of variety and responsibility. You’ll be out and about across the region, with a car allowance to support travel, and the flexibility to work from home when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take overall responsibility for a diverse property portfolio within a specified region, ensuring all legal and statutory obligations are met.
  • Maintain the structure and fabric of properties to protect capital value and ensure safe, well-maintained environments for residents and staff.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of small, medium and large scale works projects, including scoping, specification, procurement, on-site supervision, CDM compliance and budget control.
  • Manage and support an Estates Supervisor and a team of Mobile Maintenance Operatives.
  • Control and monitor the capital expenditure budget for the region.
  • Support the Projects Director in delivering the company’s growth and development strategy.
  • Ensure all works comply with current legislation, regulations and best practice.
  • Appoint, manage and assess contractors, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
  • Respond to external compliance requirements (e.g. Health and Safety, Fire, Environmental Health, Ofsted/CIW), ensuring timely action and resolution.
  • Carry out inspections and respond to internal or external maintenance queries, complaints and requests.
  • Maintain regular communication with Operations teams to support service delivery.
  • Review and assess capital expenditure requests in line with company policy.
  • Support the Head of Facilities/Facilities Manager with PPM compliance and wider estates matters.
  • Undertake other duties consistent with the role as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge through training and support development of team members.
