Manage, plan, organise and implement the programme of building maintenance, taking in to account the operational requirements of the site and ensure any non-compliances are resolved or escalated immediately. Ensure all building services are maintained in line with industry standards including HTMs, HBNs, CAR 2012, Building Regulations and others. Manage, plan, organise and implement apprenticeships, learning and general training programmes, including arrangement of supervision, shadowing, and on-the-job learning opportunities to apprentices and trainees. Liaison with college representatives and provision of information with regards to college reviews and progress will also be required.
Effectively diagnose engineering faults and initiate repairs including management of the CAFM system ensuring all departmental KPI and reactive works are completed within timescale and output reports are prepared for assurance meetings, operational meetings and SMT Maintain records of all statutory requirements and services, so as to comply with relevant legislation, to include; evidence of PPM, evidence of reactive response times and resolution, Permit to Work systems, training etc. Liaise with the wider Estates Management team to prepare engineering maintenance and plant / equipment replacement programmes on an annual basis. Manage and carry out works under Minor New Works and Ward Allocation budgets, as requested by HDFT and the senior management team Manage and control contractors on maintenance and minor capital projects. Manage and carry out investigation into engineering failures of plant, services or equipment with reference to complaints including Health, Safety, and Welfare at work and incident reporting
