ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Estates Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing the Council’s property portfolio. The property portfolio spans the main asset classes including retail, leisure, offices and industrial with the largest proportion made up of prime retail within the historic centre of the city.
Essentially the post holder will undertake all aspects of property management, advising on service charge and planned maintenance recoveries and budgets, dealing with section 20 issues and requests for Landlord’s consents for alterations, assignments etc. An important aspect will be liaison with tenants and preparation of asset management plans. The postholder may also be required to work within other areas of Property Services as required.
