WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
We are ideally seeking someone with an RICS accredited degree in Real Estate/Property Management or similar related subject but will also consider applicants with a Finance background.
You will have a track record of being a team player and previous experience in managing and administering service charges in accordance with current RICS professional standard guidance along with the ability to think creatively and focus on solutions.

West Suffolk Council has a strong reputation for forward-thinking and innovation around property, which forms a major element of many of the council’s exciting initiatives to deliver services to local residents, business and visitors.
We are offering the opportunity for an ambitious, dedicated and experienced property manager to join the council’s Property team managing the council’s diverse portfolio of over 400 operational and non-operational land and property assets. These assets include industrial premises, local shopping centres, multi-let buildings, strategic land, scheduled ancient monuments and even a world class entertainment venue.
You will be responsible for a taking a leading role in service charge management workflow across the council portfolio including a range of multi-let buildings, industrial estates and mixed-use blocks, working as part of our busy team of Estates Surveyors and providing high quality professional property advice to the authority.
You will work closely with other teams to include Finance, Technical Support services, Building Services, Facilities Management, Strategic Property and Energy and Sustainability. Previous public sector experience is advantageous but not essential.
