Description

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer / Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, combined with expertise in cost estimation and quantity surveying. The QS Engineer / Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate quantities of material, labor and equipment. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in quantity surveying and estimating, within the construction or engineering sector additional MEP knowledge is Plus.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • MEP knowledge
  • Familiarity with (contract management and local building codes and regulations) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling is a plus.

  • MEP: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Quantity Surveying & Estimation:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects based on engineering drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
  • Calculate and manage quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for each project based on engineering drawings, specifications and site conditions.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to support cost estimation.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Identify potential cost variations, evaluate change orders, and update budgets as necessary.
  • Site Visit is a must
