JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Estimation Manager to lead our cost estimation department for aluminum and façade systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise and competitive cost proposals, managing tender submissions, and supporting sales and project teams with strategic commercial insights. This role plays a key part in ensuring bid accuracy, profitability, and the company’s competitiveness in a fast-paced contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities:1. Estimation & Tendering

• Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for aluminum and façade systems including curtain walls, cladding, windows, louvers, and doors.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to assess material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Develop comprehensive and compliant tender submissions within tight deadlines.

1. Cost Analysis & Risk Assessment

• Conduct cost breakdowns including direct and indirect costs, overheads, and applicable contingencies.
• Identify project risks, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities within tender documents.
• Propose value engineering alternatives during pre-contract stages to enhance competitiveness.

1. Vendor & Supplier Coordination

• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date and competitive quotations.
• Maintain and regularly update a database of material costs, labor rates, and historical project data.
• Analyze technical and commercial offers to ensure the best value for the company.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure alignment of estimates with technical and practical execution strategies.
• Work closely with sales and business development teams to support pricing and proposal strategies.
• Assist in post-tender negotiations, clarifications, and contract finalization.

1. Team Management & Process Optimization

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of estimators and quantity surveyors.
• Develop standardized procedures, templates, and estimation tools to enhance efficiency and consistency.
• Ensure departmental compliance with internal policies, ISO standards, and best industry practices.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in estimation of aluminum and façade systems, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Solid understanding of curtain walls, unitized and stick systems, structural glazing, cladding systems, and architectural aluminum products.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software such as CCS (Candy), PlanSwift, or equivalent.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and technical judgment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
