Our family-oriented company culture combines small-company values with the financial strength and experience to deliver projects of all sizes Position Summary The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role requires working closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure bids are complete, competitive, and aligned with project requirements. The Estimator will contribute significantly to winning work and setting projects up for success. Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates. Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for all construction disciplines. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure competitive coverage. Develop detailed bid proposals, budgets, and cost analyses for assigned projects. Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to align estimating with project execution strategies. Assist in value engineering by identifying cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality. Participate in pre-construction planning and presentations as required. Maintain an updated database of subcontractor and supplier pricing. Support project managers with cost information during project execution when required. Required Skills/Abilities Strong technical skills with proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with team members, subcontractors, and vendors. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills. Reliable, competent, and flexible — the three must-haves for this role Compensation & Benefits Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $125,000 annually Bonus opportunities available. Requirements Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, project engineering, or related roles. Experience with a variety of industries and structural systems, including conventional and pre-engineered metal buildings, masonry, and concrete tilt-wall construction (preferred). Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required. Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
