SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to perform take-offs, prepare accurate bids, and actively source new opportunities through BuildConnect and similar portals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years estimating experience in ACM panels, architectural sheet metal, commercial glazing, or building envelope systems.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with tendering portals such as BuildConnect, ConstructConnect, Merx, and Bids & Tenders.
• Knowledge of ACM panel systems (e.g., Alpolic, Alucobond, Reynobond) and glazing suppliers (e.g., Kawneer, Alumicor, OldCastle, US Aluminum) is an asset.
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits.

• Source projects and submit bids on tendering portals: 3 years (preferred)

• Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Perform complete quantity take-offs for ACM panels, architectural sheet metal, and glazing systems.
• Prepare accurate material, labour, and subcontractor pricing for supply-only and supply-and-install bids.
• Source projects on tender platforms, download bid documents, track deadlines, and manage the bid calendar.
• Request, analyze, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Submit detailed and competitive bids within client timelines.
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client meetings as required
