Have you been working in the trades and are looking to move away from working directly on the tools?
We are seeking an experienced tradesperson to join our team at Ultimate Windows, Doors & More in Halifax, NS, as an Estimator for Window/Door installations and sales. With a focus on high-end building products and our flagship brand of Marvin Windows and Doors, this represents a great opportunity in a growing market and brand.
The ideal candidate will have industry experience in the trades and can understand building science, and be capable of measuring windows/doors for ordering and installations. They will also possess a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a drive to achieve targets.

Responsibilities

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Measure projects for the correct ordering of replacement windows/doors and associated installations.
· Promote and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
· Sell Ultimate’s product lines to existing and potential new customers and assist them in selecting the best-suited solutions for their needs
· Lead and manage multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
· Conduct thorough construction estimating to prepare accurate project budgets and pricing.
· Oversee cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to maximize profitability.
· Collaborate with stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts and resolve any issues that arise.
· Provide guidance and support to project teams on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
· Monitor project progress, conducting regular site visits to assess performance against project goals
· Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas
· Participate in trade shows and conventions
Ideal Profile:
· Must be able to work with clients who expect high levels of action and service
· Be knowledgeable and have direct experience with residential construction/renovation
· Ability to read and understand building plans and elevations
· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills
· Must have a passion and dedication to deliver superior customer service
· Must have the ability to adjust presentation and/or approach toward a homeowner, builder, or architect to deliver an effective message
· Must display a hunger to learn and an ability to nourish in a dynamic, high-growth, and entrepreneurial environment
