Description About the Role Hansen & Company Woodworks (HCo) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Estimator Associate to join our growing Sales and Estimating Team. This position plays a critical role in supporting HCo’s design-driven sales strategy by preparing precise, data-backed cost estimates that align client intent with production capability. You’ll collaborate closely with Business Development, Engineering, and Project Management to ensure all projects are well-qualified, competitively priced, and fully aligned with company performance standards. This role is ideal for an individual with strong analytical skills, a passion for accuracy, and curiosity about the full lifecycle of cabinet and millwork production. As part of HCo 2.0’s next-generation estimating team, you’ll gain hands-on experience with INNERGY ERP systems, material libraries, and digital cost databases—tools used in one of North America’s most advanced manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret bid documents, RFQs, and architectural plans. Perform detailed take-offs, material quantifications, and cost breakdowns. Develop project estimates and proposals that meet margin and feasibility targets. Support Sales and Leadership in go/no-go qualification and bid strategy. Collaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure accurate scope and manufacturability. Maintain and update cost databases within INNERGY ERP and related software tools. Identify value-engineering solutions that enhance client value and operational efficiency. Support KPI tracking and accuracy validation (target: ±0.5% cost variance). Participate in continued education and professional development programs. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment across teams. Required Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in estimating, engineering, drafting, or construction management. Strong proficiency in Excel, PDF markup tools, and digital takeoff platforms. Fundamental understanding of cabinet or millwork components, materials, and hardware. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to interpret technical drawings and architectural documentation. Intrinsically curious—driven to learn new systems, tools, and processes. Preferred Qualifications Experience with INNERGY ERP or similar estimating systems. Familiarity with commercial casework or millwork manufacturing environments. Experience with architectural design workflows or project management processes. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
