Job Title: Estimator Location: Broad oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Up to £38,000 Dependent on skills & experience What you’ll be doing: Creation and compilation of typically moderate complexity cost estimates for bids and projects in line with business and estimating processes Compilation of accurate and timely material estimates via supply chain interaction and the use of historic information Develop and maintain relationships, liaise and interact with key project related stakeholders Populate and maintain the cost model for the estimate, ensuring the data stays current and in line with the scope of work Manage change to the estimate and cost model in line with internally or externally focused change to the scope of work Provide data and information, as required, for internal reviews, meeting and in support to cost investigation and negotiations Bid Support for Manufacturing and Training Services, co-ordinating across Operational Procurement to deliver fully costed material budgets Your skills and experiences: Essential: Estimating experience - working knowledge of estimating principles, techniques and practices and different types of cost estimates. Has commercial awareness Good I.T. The Operational Procurement team: The Operational Procurement team resides within the Products domain at BAE Systems, and is responsible for managing and delivering Supply Chain activities that support the Manufacturing South, Small Boats, Simulation & Training business areas as well as other specific Project requirements. The team ensures that all materials, components, and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with programme requirements and project timelines. Acting as a key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders, Operational Procurement drives on-time delivery, quality assurance, and value optimisation across the supply base, enabling successful programme execution within the business'.
